Lynn C. Rogalsky
Introducing herself as an emerging photographer, Lynn Cheryl Rogalsky shows her love for Arizona in photos selected especially for her debut at the Agua Caliente Park Gallery. Born in New Jersey, Lynn’s family went west, and she has called Tucson home since age five, when she first began noticing the beauty and flavor of her Southwest surroundings. The heart of Lynn’s photography is the color and texture of nature.
While taking a photojournalism class at the University of Arizona, Lynn fell in love with photography and bought her first serious camera. Upon graduating with a B.A. in Journalism, she was hired as weekend then weekday 10pm News Producer and News Writer for KGUN-TV, Channel 9.
Some years ago, Lynn created and locally sold a line of greeting cards featuring her photography, which she plans to revive in the future.
When she’s able to tear herself away from the camera viewfinder, Lynn also concentrates on her other passion: writing. She dabbles in varied genres, including poetry and children’s books, with the support of writer workshops and writer friends. Photography-wise, Lynn hopes to incorporate her photos into her books; therefore her Canon XT Rebel camera is never far from hand.
“Though dry, no desert is truly deserted: the colors and movement of life created there are amazing from the Artist’s pallet.”
